El Monito in Google Analytics
If you use Google Analytics, you can view the data gathered by El Monito directly in your dashboard. This way you have your site's availability statistics right there where they are most useful:
For that you need the following:
- the Firefox browser.
- the Mini Monito add-on.
(alternatively, if you use Greasemonkey you might prefer to install Mini Monito user script that does exactly the same thing as the add-on)
Firefox will most likely warn you:
In that case just click "Edit options", then "Allow", "Close" and try again.
After you install Mini Monito it will add a module with data from El Monito to your Google Analytics Dashboard. The module has some limitations:
- it is not possible to move Mini Monito, it will be always added as the last block in the right column,
- the name of your website in Mini Monito is important -- it should be the same as the name of its profile in Google Analytics. Mini Monito makes it easy to configure it right there in the dashboard.
